Does anyone else find the picture of it hanging in the tent loaded full of batteries ludicrous? This thing is not light when filled with 42 batteries!
Never would I have thought to solve a problem that didn't exist
The lantern runs on 3 AA batteries (though I question whether it truly reaches 1000 lumens, as 300 to 500 lumens seems more likely) and holds 42 various batteries. It also includes an LCD battery tester, so for the clearance price, it's a good deal.

According to the picture, it's a CONTAINER of 42-batteries, plus a random lantern.

This must really be a dog, even my store has 13.

oK, so I was wrong. it actually isn't crap. The light in particular is pretty bright and it comes with 3 AA batteries installed. My store did in fact have 13 and they were in a display right near the checkout. The display had the price marked as $7.?? but it did ring up at the $3.72 price. On the other hand the tabs that open and close the battery storage compartment, the battery compartment and the battery tester section are very hard to open.

Makes for a good storage case for all those rechargeable Eneloops?

Showing 40+ at my store. Located in the regular lamp aisle or clearance aisles?

Davie Florida (Davie II location) $3.72. There were 25 in stock (actually saw them) I grabbed 5. They are located in the front of the first aisle as you come into the main door. Thank OP!
