Woot has it refurb for $349 by the way if someone doesn't want to invest in the up front cost (saves on sales tax as well)
Max difference once you consider GC as cash is $55 from Costco vs Woot (new vs used/ refurb). Give lifetime return with Costco, I'd go with Costco on any given day.
$55 gets me new machine, manufacturer warranty and piece of mind that I can take it back to Costco after 10 yrs.

Your math works if you already have a costco difference and maybe live in a no sales tax state. For those who aren't members yet, they have to factor in membership cost. Also if you live in a state with 5-7% sales tax, that's another $10-$14. Heck, if you're treating the gift card as cash, then to redeem the gift card, you'll also be paying for sales tax on those future purchases. I'm not convincing you to buy the woot version but your analysis makes a bunch of assumptions...including that you're going to keep your annual membership for 10 years so you can return it then. Enjoy that, the psychological hold Costco has on its customers is exactly why I'm a Costco investor but not a Costco member.

if they're gonna reduce the GC by $50 then they need to reduce the price to $500. So lame

Does using the costco credit card give longer warranty?
Does this fall under the 90 day electronic return period or can it be returned whenever? What is this extended warranty about? TIA

I don't know what specific video you are talking about; or whether you are complaining about the speed of hot water dispensing or the temperature? But in general if you want boiling water at speed you'll need a dedicated hot water boiler, like zojirushi models. They do nothing but keep water at boiling temperature. I have one and it's great. But the problem is that it's wasted counter space for a dedicated boiler. The other option to use water dispenser from a coffee machine. They will always be slow because they use a room temperature water tank. They just pipe water slowly through a heating coil, so obviously the output will be slow. I have that on my ninja coffee machine. I hate that it dispenses slowly but it saves us counter space. So we retired our dedicated zojirushi boiler. Having the option on a coffee machine is a great utility.
This is where the Breville really shines - instantly heating water so that shots can be pulled back to back with no heating downtime.

For those on the fence - I've had mine for about 3 months and use it daily. No issues so far, makes great lattes and the milk frother works better than expected.

No, not any more. I have a Vitamix blender that has problem after 3 yrs. I tried Vitamix first but they didn't get back to me soon enough. So I bring it back to Costco. The lady nicely ask me to contact Vitamix instead because it's been over 3 yrs. So now I have to deal with the manufacture. I mean Costco is still very generous on returns compare to others with 30 day return. But 10 yrs is too extreme bro!

Wasn't aware of a 3 year return window. If I get this, I'll keep the box in case a return is needed.

Anyone have a screenshot before they changed the GC amount? I ordered last night.
