I've owned 2 of these. Fantastic light if you are doing photography and your style can endure a lengthy lighting setup. If you are needing super accurate color, you will either have to do some excellent software work, painstaking physical filter work, or buy a higher end light. This is an excellent price, however. They came out at about 600 or 650 for the manual version. The ttl version was like 900. Getting this for 400 is a damned good deal. I doubt they will get significantly lower than this, ever. Kind of looks like liquidation before announcing the next version.

Mainly for fill light in daytime scenarios. Look at the user reviews on Adorama and there are some great examples. This is a light canon that can provide fill on a large scene. It can literally compete with the sun. You usually see these used with a reflector, which looks like an umbrella that's underside is tinfoil.
