Have owned a Bosch Jigsaw for 15 years. Despite me really wanting to buy a newer model (mostly for the easier/quicker modern blade switch), the damn thing still runs like new and refuses to die.

Same experience here….Bosch tools last forever, hard to justify an upgrade when the old ones still perform like new. Sad to see the big box stores full of all the junk generic brands these days….

lol, it's got maverick syndrome! I bought one around 1990, made in Switzerland, other than changing the plug end it works as well as new.

If you used cheap and/or battery powered jigsaws all your life, you owe it to yourself to own this thing. I was in that former category and was completely unprepared for however and "stable" this thing is. It's like having a sharp knife, it's easier to control when you have all that power. I'll be passing this tool onto my grandkids.

I bought this. I have to scribe about 30ft 3/4 plywood sheet to a wall and all I've had is a black and decker matrix jigsaw attachment (I know). One thing that sold me on this one is that it has a dust blower. I would previously blow the dust off every second so I could continuously find the line. I'm looking forward to that and the other improvements. I'm sure the jump in quality will be mind blowing. I can report back but it'll be a few weeks.

I know no one has asked, but gonna follow up anyway😁. This thing is a beast. It cut through 8 ft 3/4 white birch ply with ease. Like butter. The marring plate and the anti chipping parts work well, and the dust blower kept the line clear. It's a little hard to see through the anti chip part, but I had a headlamp on the line and was able to get it done. I didn't try the provided blade, but I was using a cheapie Diablo blade designed for hardwoods. It comes with a VERY nice Hard case as well.

Also, for those of you 3d printers out there, I could not find a matching vacuum connection piece, and Bosch's is over $30. I dealt with the dust instead of designing my own, as it's a pretty intricate / organic shape.
