If you mean running Windows and games completely inside a RAM disk (as the VM host), it shouldn't matter that much either. That's also a rather minority situation that maybe only a handful of people buying this would realistically do.
Personally, if I'm buying some desktop RAM that I'll run for years, I'd probably bump up to faster RAM, but if you need loads of decent RAM, this is a solid deal.

I still chuckle at me getting giddy paying $730 for 700MB Hard drive back then too. Such a bargain at $1 per MEG.
