$400 for a 2-3 years used electronic watch is too much. Just look at the value of apple watches after just a year.

Note: Specs list "Blood Oxygen" since the Ultra1 models are pre-injunction. Since January 2024 Apple hasn't been allowed to sell any watches with that sensor activated. Most Ultra2 don't have that sensor activated.

Note this is really 2 models back and has basically the same CPU as the Series 8. It does have the blood oxygen sensor, but does not have features like sleep apnea tracking. There was a significant jump between the Ultra and Ultra2 and 8 to 9, so I'd personally hold off until an U2 deal.

Ultra 1 has functional oxygen sensor but no sleep apnea detection. Ultra 2 has disabled oxygen sensor since 2024 but can detect sleep apnea. No other major differences between the two.

I contacted customer service, and it looks like they will charge a $45 restocking fee, although he said to contact the Bestbuy store where you purchase. The policy says any activatable devices are subject to a restocking fee, so I think they will most likely charge.

The Amazon Refurbished Premium is returnable within a year. I bought one (February 2025), and I started returning it, and it says it can be returned by February 2026.

Some ultra 2s gave them disabled. Depends on their manufacturer date.

All that aside it's a solid price.

Are you saying that Amazon does not honor their one year return on refurbished premium products? Genuinely asking because I've not tried to return something like this. It would not surprise me if Amazon would not honor their advertised policy.

So just as a point of reference, I'm debating this to replace my Apple Watch Series 4 Stainless as it just lost support for OS updates. I paid $400 back in 2019 for it, and $90 for a new battery about 1.5-2 years ago. $490 for 6 years of solid usage seems pretty good IMO.
