> The iGPU is plenty capably for light gaming but more importantly there IS an iGPU. Which means good things for battery life compared to laptops which only have dGPUs

IMO there are no other cons. I ordered this. I have been kicking myself for not picking this up over New Years because the prices of laptops with 4070s have just kept going up. Tariffs and general inflation means that this is more likely to be more expensive than cheaper in the future. I'm kinda bummed that the launch of the 50 series laptop GPUs did not trigger clearance prices for the ones with the 40 series like this one, but the market does what the market wants to do...

IMO there are no other cons. I ordered this. I have been kicking myself for not picking this up over New Years because the prices of laptops with 4070s have just kept going up. Don't fomo into last gen GPUs just because there was a manufactured "shortage" of current gen GPUs.
The Victus model from that deal ended up only having (1) NVME slot whereas previous Victus gen had (2) slots
and HP includes a gimped BIOS with the Victus line which doesn't have the battery management software (ie charge limiting) to keep the battery at 80% charge. i presumed on a gaming laptop that HP would have included the same BIOS features as on their other gaming laptop line. i was wrong. i ended up needing both features so it was returned

HP requires the use of "HP Battery Health Manager" which requires the BIOS version to have the capability (which the Victus does not)
ASUS includes it in all of their BIOS but requires you to use their "MyAsus" program
