Isn't there supposed to be support ending for TP/Deco products or some ban?
Really?? Any links to the story? My Deco system, 6E, has been great. Replaced a buggy Orbi system with it.

Is it a good upgrade to RBR 50?
Never. Old horse is rock solid.

TP Link Deco 6 were great for a while. Mesh with 3 of them was good and reliable, but then over time the range decreased.
Just got an Eero 7 Max from Ezee fiber, have a mesh with just 2 of them, and I am impressed with the range.

don't get this. i keep getting drops constantly. the only thing that's consistent is getting dropped. I've reset, factory reset, updated to new firmware, etc. it's not good. don't buy.

Reminds me of the original nightmare, especially when they were pushing out faulty firmware updates.

I have Orbi now, but when I upgrade to 7 in many years from now, I may look at another brand. Orbi's customer service is non-existent. Otherwise I haven't really had too many issues with my products but I want support in case I need it.

Same question. Any reason to upgrade from RBR50 in terms of performance improvement?

Great system, but at this price point look for a 6e or even 7 mesh system instead.
A wifi 7 mesh system for $200, eh?

I bought my in-laws a wifi 5 system from eero that worked great so I got their 6+ mesh system and then the app ruined everything but the basic features, so at this point, I'd be happy with anything that doesn't come locked out unless you get a subscription.

I have 2 wifi6 mesh router systems from Orbi. Both of them becomes unreliable after sometime. I think software/firmware issues. I was able to resolve by using it in AP mode with a dedicated firewall/router.
Won't recommend Orbi anymore.
I bought mine at Costco many years ago.
over the past months, I have had drop issues on both wi-fi and wired ports.
I like the Orbi, but their units are quite pricey for the newer and better models.

Only get the Orbi systems that don't have Alexa built in. I don't know if this system has it, but I had the AC3000 (RBK50V), and you could NOT disable Alexa integration.
I never configured it, and had the mute selected and volume down all the way, but it would at random hours loudly say things like "ALEXA READY TO CONNECT"

I had the RBR50 with 2 satellites and it ran great for 6 years so I upgraded to RBR750 with 2 satellites and it's been great for the last 3 years. No issues.

I made the upgrade from my 50s and speeds jumped significantly. I'd love to switch to WiFi 7, but Orbi's prices are still ridiculous for that tech.

I don't understand why they made these with 1 Gigabit Ethernet WAN port! Seems like an oversight on someone's part.
More a way to cut back costs on the entire build. As companies no longer cater to the consumer, they cater to the shareholders and try saving pennies.
