This is for those who want a LOUD audio build. I've had the older version of these in my beater daily on a Rockford Amp & Android Radio with built in DSP. It was loud and clear. Did exactly what I needed them to do.

Maybe they're intended to be more for bass competition type installs. I really like the JBL GTO629s I think they sound better than they cost. I've never heard a focal system so I don't know what I'm missing.

TBH, they're just designed to be as loud as possible. Yes, that works well for the vehicles doing 160+db in subbass. But they're simply trying to be louder than the average Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, etc speaker. No magic sauce here. You sacrifice one thing for another.

How's the component speaker set not showing the crossover unit?
Does anyone owe it to confirm what is in the package?

From the pictures, just mid-range and tweeters.

are these better then mb quarts , soundstreams and polk audio.. this makes me me miss my system , it was loud and clear . Got a few ticket for noise pollution and then my system got stolen... gave up the sound scene ever since..

What do you suggest for someone who wants insanely clear and crisp audio and bass over volume. I figured loud capable parts would give me the capability to play them reasonably loud with 0 distortion

I've heard these and to MY ears they didn't sound better than the older MB Quarts (which I had) or Soundstream components. I had Polk components in one of my cars back in the late 90's and these are probably on par with those.

DS18 does not make passive crosssovers other than their really low end stuff. If you are getting DS18, you are using seperate amps with an active crossover/eq.
