Spam has a "best buy date", and technically, has no "expiration date" as long as the can is sealed and not damaged (per mfg website). I've eaten cans of Spam a few years past the best buy date without any issues (taste the same, didn't get sick, etc)... however, I prob wouldn't eat a 20+ year old can, or if it was heavily dented.

Just picked up an 8 pack of this at Costco Biz Center here in SoCal today before seeing this deal. I think it was $24 for 8 cans. Will try to remember to verify the price.
As far as the comment about items being near their expiration date, SPAM has a best buy date, not expiration date. It's completely safe to eat it after a best buy date.

Confirmed: 23.89 for 8 cans at Costco. With 15% off S&S, this Amazon deal is 24 for 12 cans.

Great deal I just don't get it from Amazon anymore. Always received stuff right up against the expiration date.

I frequently order SPAM from Amazon and never had an issue with the expiration date.
My most recent purchase of Spam (25% less sodium) delivered earlier this month has a Best By date of January 2028.

It sits in a sodium nitrate water bath (which is what makes it that pinkish color) ,so it's a highly processed food sealed in a can that should be good for years after the said date. The only issue is if it arrives with dents..then it wouldn't be safe to eat and not worth the risk of eating/saving it for the apocalypse.
