FYI I managed to place an order for this but in my e-mail confirmation it said the expected delivery date is April 2nd. I like saving $10 on a game as much as the next guy, but not if it makes me wait almost 3 weeks to get my order. Canceled my Woot order and went with Best Buy as I had a $5 certification about to expire anyway.

I pre-ordered at Best Buy and they still don't have my copy, so I hope you have better luck, but depending on your area it might end up taking just as long.

If you don't mind digital version you can get this from Amazon Japan for $47 USD:
https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/B0DKWDXPKF/

You can only buy the digital version in the US. (ダウンロード版) unless you are visiting Japan in person.
Amazon Japan account is needed and possibly need to create a Japan eshop account (which is very easy to do)

Not sure anyone can confirm it at this point as it's too new but it didn't have the typical region-free disclaimer in the orange box on the product page so it's possible it may have been US version.

edit: apparently this was subsequently changed after it had sold out

They added the region free disclaimer at some point after the deal launched, so I don't know if applies to all copies or just the restocks.

Hmmmm good job spotting that. Maybe it was supposed to be there to begin with but they forgot it. Anyway I think their return policy is bullshit. Even if they misrepresent a product and it doesn't match up to what was advertised it seems like they will still make you pay for return shipping according to what I read.

I was always under the impression that Woot had the same return policy as Amazon for Prime subscribers, but it looks like that might not be the case? It's pretty vague even on their policy FAQ on the website.

I doubt the game will have any kind of story DLC, so potentially not having the ESRB logo on the front of the case doesn't really matter to me all that much, but I could see how it would be annoying for collectors.

One would hope so but I don't think we can just assume that. At any rate it states the following in the policy:

Quote :
"If the item being returned is not damaged or defective, we'll deduct the prepaid cost of return shipping from the refund."
It makes no mention of any Amazon Prime benefits for returns. It's the principle of the thing anyway. I just don't like potential misrepresentation of products and not having an exclusion explicitly stated in the return policy to cover that sort of thing.

Ordered minutes after it went live when it did not have the disclaimer and received a NA ESRB copy. The same thing happened with Donkey Kong Country Returns. All games I have ordered without the disclaimer have always been NA ESRB even if it's added after completing my order.
