Don't try and grow new seed with Halts.

There are two different types of triple action….ONE says it's safe for seeding.

The trick with seeding is to never let the seeds dry out. Typically requires a sprinkler system and watering 4-5 x a day for shorter periods of time ….generally 10-15 minutes each time.
Have to do that for almost 3 weeks.

It's typically easiest to grow starting in the beginning of September….at least for cool season grasses.
Thanks, had a whole septic rip out a month ago so forced to fix things now. Agree on the sept growing comment

I have got several patches in lawn where there is no grass

With good routine(pre emergent, water, mow, weed/feed) will Bermuda take over those patches. Or should i overseed?

Or upsize to the larger bags at Lowe's for $75:

Home Depot is offering the same deal in a roundabout way:

I don't see any deal with the Lowe's link. The Home Depot link worked fine though

It depends on the type of Bermuda you have. If you see that your Bermuda grass that is growing has runners then yes it will fill in the other kind that needs to be seeded.

So I use this product now, before crabgrass starts growing, and then the weed & feed later in the season when other weeds and dandelions are already growing?

This is the tool I use to tell me when to lay down the pre-emergent.

Never understood stupid restrictions like this
"Sorry, this item cannot be shipped to your selected address due to state/local laws or Amazon policy. Please change the shipping address."
I can buy it at the Home Depot next door, but I can't get it delivered to my house from a local warehouse.
Yes, I live in one of the farked up states.

I'll add my two cents. If you're looking for a deal on fertilizer there's no better place to buy than Menards if you have one. $23 minus rebate is the regular price for their store brand fertilizer with crabgrass preventer for 10,000 sq ft coverage. Then for late spring early summer their weed and feed is the same. No sweat every year, better than these sale prices on Scotts and it works just as good. No sweat and I can buy whenever I want and get the best price.

You shouldn't be using any pre-emergent wherever you are trying to grow grass (either from seed, or 'growing in' bare spots). Especially seed though.

Late March fertilizer + crabgrass preventer then late may weed and feed. Pretty much every two months you're feeding. Crabgrass really cant be killed without harming grass once its established. The dandelions will probably be growing before the second feeding, but the weed and feed should kill it and prevent spreading. With really healthy grass, you'll get to the point where the weeds wont be a threat till early in the summer. Till then, you may want to do a run of weed killer after the grass is fully green - about a month after the first fertilizer application. Too early and it prevents the grass from establishing as well.

Crabgrass preventer is actually worse than weed killer for trying to rescue a lawn if you need the grass to fill in bare spots, but it's a necessary evil as crabgrass is a pain. So it's best to give your lawn some time in between the two.

Will it also kill/prevent Creeping Charlie (the weed vine)?
