Word of warning - based on reviews, there is a high likelihood you may receive broken glass. Could be worth picking it up in-store just to be safe.

Just bought 5. I do a lot of juicing and trying to stay away from plastic as much as possible.

"Safe for liquids up to 140F"

So boiling water for tea or something won't be safe for this??

Dip the whole thing in 120F or hotter then maybe you can go over 140F. That hopefully avoids cracking due to thermal shock, just a thought.

Can you explain how and why this works? I failed science classes.

Every time I've ever done a in-store pick up at Macy's they have just brought me a sealed box that was shipped to them. Perhaps there is a slightly lower chance of mishandling due to being shipped bulk, but everything I have ever ordered from them for in-store pick up was just like receiving a package from their distribution center there instead of at my house nothing ever came off the shelves like you would get at Walmart. It usually (always?) even has a UPS label on it.

I guess if you open it on the spot, it may facilitate a easier return, but I don't think it is going to provide much more protection in transit

To clarify, this is so you can return it instantly (or swap it out if they have any locally).

Not only will this break, it's not heat safe. The lid does not seal well, so many leaks. Very worthless product.

Don't see a good reason to choose this over a large mason jar with pitcher lid. 64 oz mason jars are cheap and you can boil water in them.
