And the racks start rusting within a couple of years.
For those complaining about noise. It's because in an effort to cut costs, Whirlpool does not include sound deadening insulation behind the kickplate. You can add this yourself using scrap insulation and it will greatly reduce the dB.
Regardless, don't even bother with this dishwasher though even though the price is tempting. We can get these for $300 anyday through our account pricing with a local appliance store, but for an extra $100 we can step up to a basic Whirlpool one that has nylon rack coating that actually protects the rack from rusting, quieter, and will last many years without repairs compared to this junk
The new ones take 2-3.5 hours for a cycle, don't clean as well, and don't dry worth a darn
