What is the actual cost to Sony (or Nintendo/MS) of connecting players? I imagine there's some network handshake authenticating a PS username; I'm having trouble thinking of much else that happens on Sony servers that would justify charging for the privilege of using one's own internet service to play one's own game on one's own console.
