What's wrong with the neck pickup? If you just mean because it's single coil, that's a good thing.

Alexi designed this just before his death and I believe used on the 'Bodom After Midnight' EP.

I had an AL-600 blackie and I didn't much care for the light weight when offsetting the neck-dive on a strap.

I have the E-II Ripped. It's awesome.

I have the LTD Hexed. It's nice too.

That said, I prefer my Edwards versions which is odd. I have a Greeny, Pinky, and Scythe all Edwards. Edwards is the "budget" ESP brand for Japan only. They build, cut, paint, etc…. In China. Then they assemble in Japan. You can get them for around this price shipped on eBay/reverb. They also have an Arrow and Blacky.

The body carve is slightly different on the ESP, LTD, E-II, and Edwards versions. The Edwards & ESP are more in line with what he actually used though. The new ones have a pre amp boost switch built in too which is nice.

If you're looking for Alexi Tones I bought a JVM205H from Pro Audio Star last year for like 1/2 off. Watch their inventory because they do that price a lot. His settings for his JVM410H are all online from his reverb estate sale.
