What stoves for these are good for using at home kitchen occassionally for light cooking? Gas is cut off, and electric appliances are good but not the same as cooking on fire.

If you are using these frequently, considering getting some that are designed to be refillable - https://www.amazon.com/Flame-King...B08NY2TW9P

Or you could be more creative and refill them with an adapter and then repurpose the bottles for other projects like I do. Not everything has to be banned by mommy and daddy. We're not children.
If you are refilling already, you don't have to worry at all, you own a lifetime supply of 1 lb bottles.

For everyone not refilling, these end up dumped by the thousands into state park garbage systems where its expensive to properly deal with them. People who ignore the rules in favor of whats easiest for them, at the great expense of others, are the very definition of childish.

They definitely shouldn't go into the regular recycle bin. If in doubt, it's better to toss something in the trash instead of the recycle bin, as a wrong item in recycling can lead a whole load to be considered as "contaminated" and then it all goes to the dump …

These cylinders can be recycled in some instances, but only by places that specifically deal with them. They fall into the category of "hazardous waste" like cans of paint for regular recyclers. If you don't drop them off at a hardware store or something like that, then simply disposing of them in the trash after they've been run completely empty would be better than the recycle bin.

These little canisters are generally sold for one-time use, but they can be refilled and there are various ways of doing it. Here's a video that goes over some of it in detail …

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYdQf-mJW-A

Note that the methods he mentions can be dangerous and shouldn't be attempted unless you're very familiar with the risks and precautions for working with propane.

Pretty decent deal. Sams is I think a 2-pack for ~$20 right now. If daring, find a video to safely refill from a 20# tank at 50c per fill.
I got six pack at Sam and Costco for $30

There are small fire pit tables and camping-style "firepit bowls" designed to use these. You might be able to find an adapter to use them with a large fire table, but it would be extremely inefficient, as you'd burn through them so quickly. It would kind of defeat the point if using it on a big table that has room for a regular 20 lb tank.

I thought you were joking about CA until I looked it up. I swear children are running that place.
I'm pretty happy with our laws here in CA, actually. These tanks are extremely hard to recycle and if I care enough to have a stove that uses propane, getting a small one that is refillable is not a big deal.

If you don't live here, why even care? I swear CA lives in people's minds rent free.

yet once they are banned people will be forced to adapt because it is no longer convenient to be wasteful. Folks complained when seat belt laws were put into effect. Look it up. This is just gov. actually working for a better more sustainable world.
