I got that one, IPS panel and touch screen ( idc about this) and $50 less. TN panel is useless for me, I just can't have one, screen is terrible.

Buy Chromebook Plus for a basic. Many good deal under $300.
All Chromebook plus guarantee a good screen and a good enough CPU.
Without PC gaming, I can't find a reason to use an inferior legacy OS.

I think they are just being know it alls. I looked and I can't find anything better for $300 right now (march 2025). Considering this has upgradable ram and the iris graphics card can do light gaming its seems like a decent deal. I don't know a ton about panels but I have a tv if I really wanna watch something. If this is your main screen then perhaps that would matter more.

This is a great deal for 300. Specs are great. I5 is a great CPU and it's very hard to find an i5 for this price. Ram and SSD is upgradable if you want in the future. The screen is 1080p HD which is good too even a backlit keyboard. Don't listen to that fool telling you to get a Chromebook. They have no damn clue what they Are talking about. You are limited to doing nothing with a Chromebook it's literally google chrome browser as the OS. So def don't listen to that troll lying to you to get to waste your money on junk.
trust me you won't find better specs than this for under 300.
13th gen i5. this is a great deal. bottom line.
