I bought these (or similar) fiskar loppers and they're awesome. I opt for these over an electric tool anytime it's feasible.

Home Goods had them at my store for under $10 each tool, including a geared Fiskars mini loper. For any thick branches 1/2 inch plus, the Fiskers Powergear lopers are far easier to cut with.

Grocery Outlet occasionally gets deals on Fiskars, too.

...

Once it takes more than an hour to do everything in the yard, it's either exercise...or you'll want power tools, which will get it done 3x+ faster. Eg. Pole shrub trimmer.

Once you need to reach into rose bushes:

..

Fiskars are not the lightest. No brand sheers with wood handles here are far lighter. Corona generally heavier.

I have owned this set for years. The loppers are fine as are the pruners, but the hedge shears are a knuckle buster. The handles continuosly slip off, causing the stops to mis-align. Do yourself a favor and get pay more to get a good set... hopefully made in America.

This is tempting. Great price but idk if this will be just another set I'll get frustrated with in the next year or so. I'm at the point where I'm contemplating just sucking it up and buying Felco to last a lifetime and never have to think about loppers or pruners again. Any suggestions?
