Edit, TOC mentions gift cards purchased online are excluded, which leads me to believe in store gift cards are ok? Anyone want to take one for the team and test this out?

That's the way I understood it and how it worked out for me since I already redeemed. I have the $100/$25 deal and bought a product online over $100 yesterday. Got the email from AMEX that I redeemed offer. Went to Lowe's to pick it up and while I was there I made two separate purchases that totaled only $90. But with the original purchase my total for all three purchases was over $200. Shortly after the in-store purchases I got a second email from AMEX that I redeemed the offer.
I also have the Lowes AmEx but the offer didn't show up on that one. Not sure why? LOL!
Ok sock drawer all my Amex then.
