I've gotten a similar offer a number of times and have had no issues buying 3rd party GC in-store.

The math on this, $75 spend maxes out the CB.

I got max of $10. Shoprite runs gift card promos around the holidays where you'll get a $10 reward for your next purchase when you buy select $50 gift cards. Not sure if they do this at other times of the year, but double dipping is always sweet.

$15 on my 10 cards. Loaded on all. Airbnb gift cards if available might be a good way to max this offer

I got it on 2/3, the Delta card never seems to have decent offers. Honestly I usually just take my wife's card in with me and buy GC's I'll use eventually, like HD or Amazon.

American Express and Chase are weird with their offers. I dont have a ShopRite within hundreds of miles from me, but I have this offer. I tell someone that does have ShopRite's in their area, and of course this offer isnt available to him.

Positive. Though inventory might vary by store.

I shop at ShopRite weekly and the offer is not on my card. I suspect it's targeted to cardholders that don't have frequent transactions from the merchant already on their cards to incentivize visits, which makes sense.

I mean, I never shop at Ray-ban or Ugg's and the offers are ALWAYS on my account, just sitting there enticing me to finally buy some overpriced sunglasses and boots…

Yeah obviously there's some kind of demographic application of offers. On one hand you'd think they'd want to reward existing customers but on the other maybe they also want new customers. As for me, we basically never shop at ShopRite just because we have a large family and rarely go to typical grocery stores. Ironically the only time I really go in there is to take advantage of this offer and in my experience that typically happens in the November December timeframe.

And as for the myriad of other useless offers? they're basically all fashion - clothing, shoes, sunglasses, stuff like that. I *never* shop at any of those places.

I believe Amex also caps the number of a certain offer that can be added to cards, and once that cap is hit then the offer and the ability to add to cart disappears. Probably also why all those fashion offers are still available because no one wants them. I typically add all that crap to a second card because it frees up space in the queue on my primary card.

FWIW, ShopRite is running a deal for gift cards from 4/13 to 4/19.
Buy $50 of gift cards (4/13-4/19) and you'll get $10 to spend (4/20-4/26).
