Do you mean briefs in general? Cause while I wear boxer briefs most of the time, I like having a pair of briefs handy if I'm going to wear a pair of slacks that are made of a thinner material. Just to avoid the lines of the boxer briefs I guess. Also I could see why some folks might prefer them if they wear tighter pants and don't like boxer briefs bunching up.

In terms of comfort and irritation where the briefs dig in.

Well - I'm a brief guy because can't stand the flopping around I get with boxers. Recently needed new underwear and tried some bikini briefs from Walmart - us polo assn - and they are awesome- I tried bikini and string bikini and they are super comfortable. My wife giggled a bit at me trying out string bikini for men but man they are comfy.

I think Sam Elliott (Beau Bennett on The Ranch) commented once that "sometimes a man can have too much freedom" when he was referencing boxers.

Looks like the solid colored ones are 100% cotton and the other gray ones are 90%. I prefer 100% cotton, but 90% ain't bad.
