How does physical sim avoid this?
A new sim is going to be sent to Nigeria or India?
They only have money mules in the US.
Or are some these clowns still letting any ol sim laying around be registered?

no esim is quite unfortunate in this day and age.
You might have gotten TD to hell but thanks for pointing that out. That's a bit of a dealbreaker for me

OnePlus 13R definitely has esim I've used it.
Nothing Phone 3a that some random guy off topic posted specs of does NOT have esim.
The chain reaction of misinformation on this site is mind blowing.

I don't understand. This deal of $500 with earbuds seems like any other day deal, so the only difference I see is 10% off students, which doesn't apply to everyone.

Or at least the regular 12. Oneplus deals have been absolutely awful in recent years.
I disagree. Prove me wrong but I believe the current OP13 is well under the $ of iphone 16 max pro and samsung ultra 25. OP took a dive in quality they made with the 9 & 10, then started crawling back their quality control with the 11. 12 & 13 so far solid phones after management comeback.

Yall should check out the Nothing Phone 3a. $379 from manufacturer website for 12/256 model. Does what oneplus used to do. I've been a die hard oneplus 7 pro user until now. Just ordered the 3a.

So my understanding is that the "r" models have last year's processor, so, the OP12.
OK. I've been looking for a 12.
How does the rest of the phone shape up against the 12? I know there's no wireless charging, but more importantly,. how do(es) the camera(s) stack up against the full 12? Or other characteristics?

that's like saying Samsung phone has esim without saying which one.

some oneplus has esim and some doesn't. this (13R) according to oneplus's own website does NOT have esim.

https://www.oneplus.com/us/phone/...roductId2=

and i have personally owned a US version oneplus last year (i forget which one) that doesn't have esim, result me returning the phone.

At least on reddit, opinions of the 12 vs 13r are mixed. The 12 has the better camera, likely other elements like glass quality, water proof rating, material quality, amount of ram, amount of storage.

However, the 13r will get an extra year of major android updates from OP.

Thanks I've just fixed my typo. The OnePlus 13R definitely has esim, I've used it myself before selling the phone last month.

does it make my phone calls sound faster? wait, this has a remote control IR port? get out! i thought most phones were cookie cutter crap phones...they decided to give a phone a feature? i dont believe it! still no memory card slot for additional storage, although if this was the 512gb model, it would be sufficient to not need one.
Yeah. I can't believe how many people are okay about gaslighting themselves that getting rid of the sd slot and headphone jack was about anything other than a money grab by the companies.

Not having 5G band n71 makes it a non-starter in the US. Every major carrier uses it for 5G coverage.

Maybe if they release a NA variant someday...

Quite a shame that the usb-c port on a phone in 2025 has USB 2.0 speeds

The "old" LTE will do you just fine unless you need to download the complete human gnome in 5 minutes.
