i gave up trying to stack discount codes! they never let me do them and I just gave up! would be in for $299 but even $400 for this is a bit high as these have zero resale value after one year.

I'm not pulling the trigger at $390 it's not worth it in my opinion. Bought and sold 2 already since they launched im not wasting my time again.

What discounts? I got -100 for base trade-in and another -30 for the device I chose, and 5% student (another 30). so 160 off, adding capital one gets -50. so -210 total, how did you get to 290 off? What device did you say you were going to give them?
Yall should check out the Nothing Phone 3a. $379 from manufacturer website for 12/256 model. Does what oneplus used to do. I've been a die hard oneplus 7 pro user until now. Just ordered the 3a.
Glad I started to post here because they have been out of stock for a WHILE now and I was on the notification list but received nada...but when I go to get the url for my post it was in stock.

Just FYI for anyone using Google Voice: current OnePlus phones (with more recent OS) don't allow Google Voice call redirection. So if you're using any phone app and expect your Google voice number to show on the other end, unfortunately that isn't the case as the main sim card number will show, instead.
From what I could tell this bug has been an issue for a while now so OnePlus is unlikely to fix anytime soon. Just FYI for anyone relying on Google Voice and interested in OP phones. Shame to see this as the phones are appealing otherwise.
Okay let's consider two scenarios
1. You can select from many different esim providers and compare the rate, purchase and install selected product for the selected length of service, all from touch of your phone, before you even land.
Or
2. You must wait until you pass through the custom, you have no cell service before that. you look for a cell phone booth at the airport possibly before you even pick up your luggage. You can only select whatever service they have, maybe require you to have foreign currencies so you have to look for currency exchange station close by. and you have to submit a bunch of application, just to get the service, and then you run to pick up your luggage...
The choice is obvious for anyone who travels and use data
