I used my ID once and it never let me use it again for another deal, it seems the ID quota is only one.

3rd party verification with selfie and id upload required. Also requires a number port-in.

Reps to who can tell me the best way to get a new phone number to port in for this deal.

I don't plan on using the phone for actual cell service, so unlocking is not necessary. I just want a decent android device to use. Thanks in advance!

Update: I ordered a number for $5 from numberbarn, enabled SMS on it, then was able to port it to order this Motorola Edge for free + $55 the plan. Thanks FabulousStranger526!

Can the # purchased from numberbarn receive a txt msg?
Totalwireless requires a verification code sent to the # porting out, before checking out.
Yes but it cost $2 extra

How well can this thing handle stupid Roblox?
About as well as a 6 year old flagship iPhone/Galaxy S. The 8 GB of RAM and 144 Hz screen of the 2024 Edge are nice, but the CPU and GPU are underpowered by modern standards.

To be fair, my kid does play Roblox on this and it works okay, but heavier games (like Genshin) are choppy. Performance aside, the camera and software support (limited updates, preinstalled malware that you should disable ASAP) are the other two negatives. Besides all that, I really do like the phone and how it feels in hand, even with the curved glass.

Thanks, repped!

I ordered a number for $5, enabled SMS on it, then was able to port it to order this Motorola Edge for free + $55 the plan. Pretty easy!
How long did it take to complete the port in i.e. when you can use the phone to call or receive a call? TIA

Took two minutes. I received the welcome email, then two minutes later I received the email confirming the number was now active.

I was also able to activate SMS without paying the extra $2. I double checked my CC and was only charged $5 for buying the phone number. Might've been a glitch for me, so YMMV. I went to the upgrade options, clicked each one because I wasn't sure which offered the SMS service, noticed the enable SMS button was active, so I went back and activated it.

Can I randomly input a number to port in first? When I receive the phone, I change the number to port in(maybe then purchase from eBay or other sources)? I don't want the complications of purchase a phone number, but not receiving the phone for whatever reason.
You have to put in a phone number that you have access to because it sends an SMS text to that phone number for you to verify that it's legit and active.

How many variants are there for Moto edge 2024? I checked their official website, sees edge 2024 only, no mention of 5G in the title. But it does have 5G in the spec. Is it the same phone? Thinking about getting a phone case, but try not to order the wrong model.

It's 8GB standard + up to 8GB virtual RAM. It uses the phone's internal memory as RAM. Can be disabled
unrelated, but I hate when people use the word memory to talk about storage. Memory is much much more commonly used to refer to RAM

I've done a few of these deals, and I think you wasted $5. Since you said you don't care about unlocking and will use it as a wifi device, you could've just used any phone number to order, then when you get the device, don't actually port-in.

The port-in is when you receive the device and activate, and you don't even have to use the same number as when you ordered.
YMMV on the no port. If you have to call in to Total the rep may see that a port is required. I have been in both situations before.
