Ok. You have to do in person. Don't waste time on phone. Spoke to few dummies there and they know nothing .
Alright thanks for the tip. I used a google voice number to get the phone into cart, will try to activate number barn number when it comes, if that fails I'll pay another $3 to port out google voice. I'll see what happens.

So they have placed a sim lock on the phone and it won't unlock unless you do 60 days of service.

Wow, that's sad. Battery of this is much worse than my S23U and Stylus. This lasts maybe 75% as long as Stylus, and 50% of a G Power.

The battery isn't bad with 120hz, but the overall it's clearly inefficient compared to TSMC node based chipset. Tensor is a hand warmer so meh.
Depends on your use. I found the battery to be more than adequate

Unlock is 60 days from activation date. It is not 60 days of service.

Although the phone will be unlocked after 60 days, it only needs to have 30 days of service. If you don't believe that and want to pay for 60 days of service, go ahead.

The Moto G 5G Power is not at the same level as the Moto Edge 2024: less internal storage, LCD vs POLED screen, slower processors, etc.

In my case, I bought Stylus 2024 last year and paid for only one month. It was automatically unlocked two months later and my account was not deleted after that and was still there. Then I bought Edge 2024 a month ago this year. I used the same account but verified the ID again. I thought it wouldn't work with the same account, but it worked without any problems.
Do I need to turn off the phone before the one-month plan expires? I will also uncheck auto-pay. Do I have to stay in the U.S. for 60 days for the phone to be unlocked, or can I take it abroad with me? Thanks.

It has been more than 60 days for me but I am being told by the company that I need to do 60 days of active service. my phone is sim locked and somehow instead of total wireless my unlock is owed by TracFone.

You are being told wrong, and Total Wireless is part of the TracFone family.

***EDIT - I'll let you know for sure next week, because my day 60 for 2 Edge 2024s is one week from today.

Total Wireless, Straight Talk, Tracfone, Net10, etc are all sub-brands of a big company called TracFone (bought by Verizon in Nov 2021). All of them use the same Unlocking site https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/w...BIS9nQSEh/ . If your phone was activated more than 60 days ago, you can check its IMEI at that site and see if it had been unlocked. You can also call the Unlocking Dept at the number on that site. The reps at the Unlocking Dept are much more knowledgeable than the typical reps at TF, TW, ST, etc which will make up things when they don't know the answers. Nowhere on that web site says the phone must have 60 days of service.

You can also try these things:
* Connect the phone to WiFi. Go into Settings or Network and look for Unlock Status. It might say Network Locked then after a few minutes changes to Unlocked.
* Bring up the Dial pad, enter #83865625# (which spells #TFUNLOCK#) and see what it says.
* Put in a SIM of a company that's not TF, TW, ST, Net10 and see if it's accepted. That SIM does NOT have to be active.

Try those things and post what happened.

I tried both the website and the unlock code that even the unlock dept provided me.

with the website it says my device isn't eligible for unlocking.

with the code it says sim locked.

With another sim I get a 🔒 sign on my phone.

I called the unlock department, they gave me a few codes and when they didn't work the guy said you probably need to rack up 60 days of service.

Context: called up total wireless which said the device was eligible but wouldn't unlock so they said call Motorola which I did and they said it's locked to TracFone so I called TracFone up only for a repeat performance so was told you probably need 60 days of service.

Can I use a new number to activate the service or need to port-out the number at the time of purchase?
