The CFPB would forward your complaint to the bank and monitor their response. The bank usually would resolve the issue very quickly. But the Trump administration "declawed" the CFPB so now the consumers have lost that protection. No wonder the big banks donated money to Trump's campaign.

I have a bunch of throw-away email addresses. I used them to get 4 GV numbers, paid Google to unlock them then ported them to TW.

I also logged into my TW account and they had deactivated my device after the first month which is why I think I had such a difficult time getting to the unlocking.

Unlock date: April 26

I logged into my Total Wireless account today and it looks like they are reactivating my account for $55 by May 10, 2025

If it doesn't unlock on April 26, I'll try putting in a visible SIM card and see if it works

If it doesn't work even with a visible SIM card, I'll have to consider paying to reactivate it.

Why not try out the Visible sim now? I tried out a Tracfone one that I when I purchased a Moto Play that included a year of service. It took it just fine. I then put back in the Total Wireless sim and it was fine. Since they are basing on the months paid of service, is there an issue with this?

OP should update post to match new unlock policy of 60 days paid service making this effectively double the price $110.

I can try it now, but I'm waiting since there are only a few days left anyway. I'm being careful that the SIM card test won't cause any problems with unlocking.

I paid for one month and didn't pay for the second month, but it doesn't seem like my account was deleted or my phone was completely disconnected from Total Wireless. So I think Total Wireless gave me until May 10th to reactivate, and after that, reactivation won't be possible.

If I reactivate my phone I will call Total Wireless.

I activated in March and my service ended on 4/8. They are also giving me till 5/10 to reactivate the line. I am able to switch to a $40 plan but unable to switch on autopay to save another $5.

110 could still be worth it to some. I don't like the idea of giving ID still.
