Thanks updated. I read that it should be included but couldn't find it in the description. I guess the full description shows up on a browser but not on my phone app.

Deal coming through just at the right time! I bought Federal + State in Jan25 for 42 no amazon gift card. And last week found out that I need to file for my parents as well for past year so was looking for deals on Federal + State. This deal comes out to $36 after the Amazon gift card so even better than what I paid for in Jan25. Thanks OP!!

Just so you know, you can use one copy of the software to complete multiple returns. And if you're willing to use your turbotax login on your parents computer, you could install it there too. No need to buy again.

agree, I don't know why he needs 2. Plus there are some tips how to use one copy to get 2 states.

Not sure why this is a deal, when softwares like Free tax USA are completely free for even complex tax situations.

Besides the fact that intuit actively is the reason we have paid tax softwares to begin with

What's this supposed to mean exactly? You mean to tell me that Intuit will drop prices to cater to the last minute crowd? Not happening. If anything, they will raise prices. The best deals are early with this.

I was waiting for Fidelity's free TurboTax software (I got free 2023) but there is none for 2024.
Good price for the last minute filer. I filed extension every years so this is good timing.

I already crunched all my numbers in TurboTax and got to the end where it's time to file. Turns out it had defaulted to TurboTax "Premium" which is super expensive and not even listed as a product option on their Amazon store. The only way to downgrade to any other tier besides free tier is to start over.

Bummer.

Agreed - FreeTaxUSA is a better deal (free federal filing + $15/state filing). I have used FreeTaxUSA for the last several years and have a more-complicated-than-most tax situation (rental home + investments) and it is just as simple as TurboTax but cheaper.
