It is a beautiful game, and great Star Wars environments. The gameplay itself can be boring and repetitive over time. I want to find some time to get back into it, but the gameplay isn't that fun.

If you love the Star Wars universe, you will love the locations and graphics and probably worth it.

Can someone give an honest review who has both played it, and isn't bashing it for non-gameplay-related reasons? I feel like I so rarely see actually useful information about this game.

I appreciate that. I obviously loved Fallen Order, but also quite liked Jedi Survivor, which is a bit of a more divisive game. I know this one isn't a lot like those, but I think I'm more forgiving about Star Wars properties because I just love that universe, which seems like the opposite of a lot of SW fans and "fans". I'm almost certainly going to play this at some point, just wondering when the right time to grab it is, I'm not in a huge rush with my current backlog.

not sure why this game isn't getting more love... does it have drawbacks? sure. Is it fun and imaginative and beautiful? yes. I'd say it's well worth it < $25

Yeah, I saw that but didn't really consider it since Stellar Blade was only $40. Its not a rule I follow but generally speaking, I don't spend more than $20 on games unless I know they are good and I don't anticipate seeing a better sale soon. I'm definitely still interested in Outlaws but yeah, I don't see myself being willing to spend more than $20 on it. Ive just got too much of a backlog for that. I've got all the will in the world to game but as I've got older, I don't have the time 😂

This would make sense. Get the game working well, draw people back in. You can't sell DLC as well if no one wants to play the base game. Once the game works right, you get the word out, and then promote and release the DLC to build on momentum. Seems like a good strategy, anyway.

This game feels like it could/should be great. Just needs some TLC.
