I have this. My kid's still slightly too young so he hasn't ridden on it a ton. This thing is fast and a steal at this price compared to a slow, cheaply made Power Wheels type vehicle.

yes, I have both. power wheels and this, this thing is fast, 8mph is a good job to keep up with. More power, same price at this time. I was able to ride it and pulled my kid in the back with a tube when we had a small amount of snow. Fun times.

Also, tons of upgradeable parts for this, lots of mods too.

It's actually $219.99 with the 10 off 50 coupon. I was coming to post this because this feels like a crazy deal.

I just bought one for my 2.5 year old. Added a 10k potentiometer to slow it down and he's been riding it nonstop. This thing is 10x better than a power wheels for the same price

This looks like a great deal, not knocking OP in the slightest for new. In many big markets you can find power wheels for cheap where the kids have aged and the sealed lead acid batteries have died. I've picked up 3 various models, and for 25-50 bucks for the unit, and 50 bucks for a battery, had something that would go for 300 at walmart. Power wheels dune racer for example, has tons of mods, I only did the enhanced steering and upgraded battery mods, but there's tons including metal gears, etc.

This is very different than a power wheels. This quad has a full metal frame, it weighs like 75lbs

That's your call to make as a parent. Our son fits on it and handles it well. They say this is for ages 8 and up, but I think it would look comically small with an 8yo on it

I think it would almost universally be considered unsafe. You may still feel comfortable with the level of risk or do it anyways, which is your call. But I don't think any independent evaluation would consider this safe for a 2.5 year old if that's what you were looking for

Good deal, but reading the reviews, it seems like a lot of people are reporting battery failures within a relatively short period of time. Even the replacements seem to have issues.
