Incredible deal for a phenomenal guitar! I'm not interested in a Floyd Rose otherwise I'd jump on this immediately.

My daughter wants out of her hollow body and started on a mini strat, now that she is way more experienced do you think this may make a good guitar for someone a step above beginner who loves to rock ? I really love seeing her smile and I hope this may bring her some joy ? Thoughts on it ? Anything I may need to add or replace on it ? Eat string paired with it, etc.. I think I'm goi g to get it for her, was goi g to be me but her now.. thx…

This would be a great guitar for your daughter. Charvel is owned by Fender. It has quality components and a pickup assortment that can really play just about anything. It's a shredder style guitar so the neck isn't quite as thick which is nice for small hands. It's a steal at $500. My only reservation would be the "coolness" factor. Charvel was a popular 1980s hair metal brand. If she doesn't care about that, it blows a $650 made in Mexico Strat out of the water.

I bought my 6 year old granddaughter a Kramer Beretta (another 1980's brand very similar to Charvel) in hot pink and she loves it. It has a shred neck too which really helps with her small hands. She absolutely loves the guitar. I am buying one of these for myself with the intention of giving it to her as a step up from the Beretta.

Well, lol not what I was expecting to buy when I woke up this morning. Been looking for a Stratocaster with a bucker in the bridge, this is more my vibe anyway.

Sale over? Seeing $1099 now.

EDIT: Nevermind. If I google it and go to Adorama's site it's $1099, if I click through the SD link it's $499. Same SKU.

I have 3 charvels and they have the black neck plate. This one doesn't. And that plate usually tells you where it's made. Kinda weird.

Some charvels are being made in Indonesia now so I have to wonder. Good deal either way.

If not the for the fact that Charvel has had questionable quality control (bad wiring, fret sprouts etc.) in recent years from Mexico factory, I'd have already jumped the gun. It's a hit or miss.

If you don't want to deal with the tuning annoyance, you can just crank the springs or put a block between the bridge and the body in the back cavity, so it's not floating.

I think a Floyd is totally worth having on a Fender style guitar. The tuning stability is insane whether its floating or non-floating. My Fender HM Strat from 1989 hasn't been touched in about 12 months until just now, and it's totally in tune still. It has a Floyd style bridge and locking system from Kahler.
