No shopping around or waiting just if you buy them right now lol prebuilds should always cost less then building it yourself to warrant purchase. (exception is a custom made PC where you choose the parts)
To add to this the issue with some pre builds is that you don't know the parts, what is the SSD, is there DRAM? what about the PSU is it cheap what's the wattage? what about the motherboard? building it yourself alleviates you of those worries and the cost should be cheaper if you can't answer those questions. Then to answer the question how would companies like MSI make money? economies of scale, brands buy parts much cheaper then we do and can full PCs at a lower price then it would cost us to build and still make good money.
Edit: forgot to add you can get faster ram and you don't know the timing. to many questions that need to be answered for that price point.. Not a good deal.
