I did use the guide - thanks for posting! An agent told me they could not tell me anything and I would need to wait for the letter that is to arrive in 7-10 days. I applied on April 3 so here I am over 3 weeks later with no letter and no idea why I was denied!

You called only once? HUCA is real. Hang up, call again. Even if you don't do it back to back, you should at least be calling every two days.

Thanks for the advice - persistence paid off. On the third call, I made it clear that I never received the letter and that it was long past the "7-10 days" and she told me the reason why I was not instantly approved and then transferred me to the verification line. I verified my identity a few minutes ago and am hoping that I am good to go!

We went through this verification loop stuff as well multiple times. Sent documents answered questions but this went on for 2 weeks and multiple calls. After every call we were told we are done and it was never done. Despite being Chae customers for 2 decades with exceptional score and being pre approved. Eventually a branch visit worked.

Wife's annual fee is coming up in June. and she got her last CSP bonus 4 years back... whats the best strategy? downgrade now and then upgrade again with the 100k bonus?

An upgrade will not get you the bonus, you need a new application for CSP to get the bonus.

Also if her AF is in June, it's doubt that she got her last bonus >4 years (48 months) ago. Unless she has actually got the card 5 years ago.
