Ok guys who or what vendor price matches game stop?? I checked w/ BBY and don't Acknowledge GS.

Edit: Answer: NONE. Tried Walmart and Target. Their policy is transparent.

Man, I paid $60 for this. It was pretty much a one for one remake of the old one. I didn't really catch many differences. Definitely worth $20.

Wow this is a great deal. It's probably not going to happen but I hope this deal lasts past today so I can use my April $5 pro coupon.

Pre-owned copy is $18.04 too.

Yes, it's called "Gamestop New" and they've been doing it for almost a decade.
Longer lol. I remember getting Chronicles of Riddick "new" in middle school on OG Xbox and gameboy games (they went behind the glass and tossed in make shift box). That was almost 2 decades ago.

I played the original and this game. This game is so much easier. Never gotten a game over. I rarely use my items. I only used 1 revival item throughout the whole game. Still a great and fun game. I recommend it.

The game is pretty meh to me. Short, extremely linear, no challenge. Unless you have nostalgic attachment to it or love all things Mario I just didn't get the appeal.

We were gutting games for display back in the 80s when I worked for Electronics Boutique, which merged with GameStop.

Bought a couple for shipping to hold sealed for a long time. Not bad for this game!
Yes the $20 remake of an old game will surely increase in value over time…

Certain games do... look at Mario 3D All-Stars. They are worth $100-120 each now just a few years later. I also like to collect them, not just resell them.

I don't get why people think it's bad to buy copies of games to hold them. It's not like I am buying copies from people that can't get them from anywhere else. This game is available everywhere...

Google "Nintendo Selects" titles - they used to sell first party games discounted to $20 or less after the initial sales run, but got greedy after the Wii by dropping the discounted line. They'd rather sell less games at inflated prices to give us all the image that Nintendo first party games should be considered a deal at $30-40, but that wasn't the case a 10-15 years ago when they sold the Nintendo Selects line at a discount to get games in more households.

Historically people who pop into threads on SD mentioning that they bought more than one of something to resell that might go fast or be a price error are just trolls trying to annoy people, so that might be why.

I'm actually fine with this. I buy games and take years to play them. If I buy a game for 60$ and don't get to it for 2 years, then find out it's 20$ now, I'm going to be annoyed and end up buying less games. With Nintendo I know if I buy it day 1, I don't have to worry about the price going down and my purchase being devalued.
