They screwed me on this last year. Bought Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition (which is supposed to include the Phantom Liberty DLC). The "new" copy I bought was already open. I thought it was no big deal because it was a complete edition with the DLC included on the disc. Turns out, there's a code for the DLC on an insert which I didn't get. By the time I got around to playing the game a month later, it was past the return window and they wouldn't do anything for me.

Honestly even selling an opened game as "new" should be illegal - at best opened games should be advertised as LNIB. Not my first bad experience with Gamestop, but it will be my last. I will never give this company another dime.
They usually claim it's a display copy but still brand new but I've had Nintendo Switch Cards with the gold coins already claimed. That's "Gamestop New" for you

Thanks OP!

March's coupon expires tomorrow (31) at 6pm central. So about ~24 hours left.

Quote from its page: "Coupon expires by 6:00pm Central the last day of the promotion. No cash value. No refunds"

Did you have to do anything special to get the coupon to show up? I am not seeing it appear on my cart page….

It's a really enjoyable rpg. I played the original when I was a kid. Would have bought it but a buddy let me borrow it.

The remake is a lot prettier obviously. It really doesn't have too much added from the original. Some of the combat mechanics make it a bit more friendlier. Like being able to swap out party members during battle, even downed ones
thanks, I watched some YT and its not my cup of tea- I've canceled it

In for one! $20 feels like the right price for this remake.

The thing that bugs me is if you try to return a game that is unsealed, they refuse to do a full refund as it is opened, yet they sell opened copies as new all the time.

Got the game but damn it's hard on normal. Trying to time the counters and bonus damage is tough. Have had a few game overs in the first hour. Needs some patience to finish this game. Not relaxing or slow paced because the constant QTE every single battle in all rounds.

This was a PS5 copy sold on their website as "New". Nothing about a display copy, and like I said, mine was missing the insert for the DLC. I had to spend an additional $22 to download it. Pretty nuts considering the whole reason I bought it was because it was on sale.

Never again though. Like I said, I'll never give Gamestop another dime. They almost never have decent sales on anything anyways. It took me years to spend the gift card that they made me buy in order to purchase my PS5 from them (I bought mine back when they were impossible to find and they were forcing bundles). Even with the $5 monthly credit, there was rarely a decent deal on a game that wasn't as cheap or cheaper elsewhere.

Weird, I thought the opposite about the difficulty. I played on normal and thought it was too easy. Never had a game over the entire game, and honestly it was a bit too breezy.

Granted, I've played this game a couple times before on SNES and ROM, but it's been 15+ years, and I'm not sure how much that would change the difficulty (mechanically it's pretty simple and straight forward, especially by modern standards)

In case this hasn't been mentioned:

Buy preowned with 3 other 19.99 or less games and this qualifies for the 4/$40 sale. Ends april 5.

Makes it $10 used.

$10 used is a good price. Now the challenge is to find the other 3 to make it 4 for $40.... Any suggestions?
