Make sure you well ventilate the area before you return to it. Useful tool but kills everything alive in the area!

I'd be careful with this one. While it looks powerful (30,000 mg/h and covers up to 4,000 sq. ft.), the reviews seem a little sketchy—Fakespot gives it an F for review reliability. Also, ozone generators can be effective for odor removal, but they shouldn't be used in occupied spaces—they're not safe to breathe in. If you go for it, make sure to run it when no one (and no pets) are home, and let the air clear out before going back in. Might work well for cleaning out a basement or after tenants move out, but not ideal for everyday use.

Used an ozone generator to get rid of the cigarette smoke smell from a used car, worked great. I have also pumped it through my hvac system after we discovered some mold to kill any remaining spores.

My advice is to get a model with wifi connection. I've found that running it continuously for longer period leads to a stronger nasty "after smell". Instead I crack a window and use the app to turn on the generator after I left the room and run in cycles of 10-20min depending on room size. 10min on, 10min off, 10min on, etc. Usually 3 cycles. Then run inside, open all the windows fully, and then wait an hour to go back in. No nasty lingering smells doing it this way. If the original smell is still there I'll do another treatment cycle, but you really don't want to over do it with ozone.

If your furnace isnt venting air to the rest of the house im sure its fine. Every day seems like super overkill though, how come every night?
Long term exposure is definitely not good for you or electronics though.. But yeah its not lava... lol

Sounds like dude has a water/mold issue in his basement and instead of correcting/remediating, he runs the ozone generator

…a lot of people DID die. I can't believe there are outbreaks of measles right now, but here we are. Morons. But hey, stick it to the man, right?

Can I turn on the fan and suction fan (restroom fan) or my HVAC while running this when I'm not at home?

These work great to get the smoker smell out of your car when used correctly or other funky smells.

I've been looking for one of these to deodorize my airbnb between guests. Usually odors aren't much of an issue, but I have had a couple of guests who cooked meat and the smell lingered for days. I've tried all manner of fans and activated charcoal with limited success, so now I think its time to add the nuclear option to the arsenal.

When I started researching these devices I found plenty of horror stories about them on the airbnb host forums. Some hosts had problems with the machines actually producing lingering odors after running them for way to long in rooms with memory foam matresses or syynthetic foam filled upholstery. Seems the machines can oxidize these synthetic foams and cause them to off-gas putrid odors for weeks afterward. Don't let your ozone generator run for too long around couches or matresses, etc!

People died from the medical treatment for a 'virus' that doesn't exist. They also died from depression from isolation, and suicides went up as well. Probaly the majority still think we had a pandemic, even though it's easily proven there was never a pandemic. Even allopathic doctors proved there was no pandemic. Thank God I learned long ago that germs don't cause disease (search for Pasteur vs Bechamp), and that "authorities" lie. (Might want to look up Rosenau experiments, as well, for the few of you that want to know the truth.).

We have cats. There isn't a chance in Hell I'd even bring this $15 death machine into the house.

From what I gather, it's consistent, constant ozone exposure that will cause damage to rubber gaskets, plastics, wiring, etc.—exactly what you're doing.

How long have you been keeping victims of your caustic attitude in the basement for you to require extreme odor control so often and frequently? Sounds like someone needs to call the authorities; Robertcop and the Ultra Towel Police [bandcamp.com] have been informed of your unusual and suspicious behavior. Expect a call soon laugh out loud

Seriously though, thanks to SkillfulPiranha7944's excellent and informative posts, I realize now that using a ozone generator occasionally or rarely—just a few times a year—shouldn't cause any issues. It's the long-term exposure that damages plastic and rubber, like what Captain Ozone has apparently been doing in his basement. What the heck is going on down there? Is he keeping moldy towels in the cellar? Robertcop must investigate! laugh out loud

Overall, I plan to use the device about twice a year to deodorize my car, trash barrels, cat's litter pan cabinet, and perhaps some clothes and bedding sealed in a large tote with the generator.

I also intend to attempt to remove smoke odor from vintage collectibles like Atari 2600 consoles and CIB NES games. Oh boy, do I have a few stinkers; there's nothing worse than having your collectibles reek of rancid tobacco. I tried sealing the items inside zip-lock bags with dryer sheets for months, but the results were less than perfect.
