Honest Q: Walmart sells for $160 and Amazon for $180; so no one comes closer to "woot". So what's with Woot is selling as "New" for almost half the price?
Just want to make sure family doesnt get bad surprise when we take this one to camping.
Thanks in advance.

As someone else said, Woot is Amazon clearance. This tent model/design has been around for a while, so it's probably something silly like a new colorway for 2025.

Ive owned this tent for at least 8 years. Were only about once to twice a year campers but its worked well and I'm less then gentle. I would still buy a can of waterproofer to hit the seams but can reccomend, my first pole is just starting to frey/crack last summer.

The whole 3 mattress thing is I guess possible but two air mattresses with plenty of room for gear is more likely. Dont sleep on the framed door, if your in a place without a ton of flying bugs its super nice to just velco and swing on demand.

What's the X by Y footprint? Not listed on the site. The "Specs" tab is hilariously bad, just being the title of the item.

Is this overkill for leisurely camping for 2 people?

We've had the 4p Coleman for a long time and about time to get a new one. Wondering if it'd be awesome to have this much space. Or just extra work

Extra work. I personally would not go bigger than a 6 person tent for two people. Try the Coleman Darkroom Sundome. Also watch the channel "Camping Guidance" on YT. She has plenty of comparisons and reviews of tents very well done.

We've had this tent for 10+ years and around 15 camping trips. It's decent, fits 3 beds comfortably. Not hard to set up with 2 people. Relatively straightforward to pack up. Quite small when packed. No tears. We managed to break one of the poles so I have it put back with strong tape. Thinking about getting a new one, mostly for the pole.

This is a decent car camping tent owned one for years.

Three queen air mattress side by side with no gap will just squeeze in.

Had one of my poles break and replaced it with the Stansport 11mm kit for $13. Easy and cheaper than buying a new tent.

I've had this for about 10 years and it is a really nice tent. At this price it's probably the best you can get. I haven't used it in years because I replaced it with a Kodiak Canvas, but that's no where near this price range.
