This thing eats batteries.

There is a smaller newer one with a charging base which makes it a lot lighter but I have that one.

DTO has this usually $15-$20 during sales without a battery

This is a better deal since you're getting 24 extra hours sticks. Then return the battery.

There's a dual tool deal for this gun and the mini one for $40 after battery hack. Been going on since last month.

Agree with this. Wife has the one with charging base and its much lighter/nimble, which is useful for craft projects

I'd probably lean towards getting the inverter when it goes on sale and using an off the shelf hot glue gun. Probably a bit shorter battery life but more versatile overall, especially with weight.

Not sure how much hot gluing you're doing but I've fed 3-10 full size glue sticks through this (which is probably more than average use) and the battery level didn't budge off fully charged. I'd estimate you could melt 200 glue sticks and the battery would still be at 80%

You can get these things for $29 on direct tools. Most don't need the battery.

There are two similar deals. One is hackable and one isn't … saw this video that shows the differences when you check out:

This is a great glue gun, far nicer than the horrible cheapo ones. I haven't had any trouble with it eating batteries, though I only use the lower heat setting and a 4Ah battery. Not sure how a 2Ah would hold up.

This deal is BS. $129.94 retail?

I have both the large and small Ryobi 18V glue guns. Paid less than $20 each when on sale. $55 isn't worth it even with the "free" battery.

Thanks for sharing this link, for +$1-2 dollars, the extra 24 glue sticks is a great deal!
