I have the 2022 model 55 inch Toshiba m550 and I can confirm that it is a VA panel. Picture is a beaute! Sound is amazing...I think the 2025 model sound will be adequate but not the same as older version. I cannot say that the quality of the newer 2025 model is any better. Hopefully the 2025 has just as good deeper blacks as the previous 2022 model. The bezel-less design was a plus. 2022 model is great for gaming! It's not gonna get that much better than this at this price point. Basically a wait until Black Friday otherwise I would get this.

Toshiba has one extra hdmi, one extra usb, full array dimming and 40w speakers. Hisense has 10w speakers.

Believe me I've owned multiple tvs in my life and any tv that has full array dimming is definitely the better picture and at this price point you can't do better.

These are made by Hisense now despite the Toshiba name. Solid TV for the money if you don't need HDMI 2.1 features

I just read that Toshiba tvs for the American market is made by a Taiwanese company named Compal. Might actually be made better than Hisense.

I just bought the 55" and set it up. It's great for $300. Easy upgrade for me coming from a tv with no HDR lol

Bought 65" tv and set it up yesterday. Picture quality is great. Local dimming makes big difference. Surprised to see the FireOS performance almost same as the "Firestick 4k" streaming device that i've been using on my other tv. Would have bought the 75" version if it was in sub $500 range. With the tarrifs on tv/electronics coming up soon, glad to have purchased at right time before all sellers start increasing tv prices lol

Has anyone had any luck getting YoutubeTv to download on this TV? I've also tried multiple firetv 4ks that work with Youtubetv, but I can't get them to actually turn the TV on/off, and when I press the home button it goes to the main Home rather than the firestick home

TCL Q7 boasts higher brightness at 1000 nits, a native 120Hz refresh rate in 4K (good for gaming) and likely more dimming zones. Toshiba has a 2.1 sound system, but if you're using a soundbar, this won't make much of a difference.
