How do I get something like this to connect to my powerwall? Any idea? Or is this not even worth it?
A EG4 Gridboss unit should work to combine the systems, but since these are not UL listed per some of the comments here, you wont be able to use them legally in a permitted grid tie in system. Something you would have to double check on depending on your state and current configuration.
Any chance this will be under $2000 in the future?
Maybe? The price of these is always coming down, but people forget (or don't want to mention) that with lithium we will soon get double-hit on tariffs. You get President Trump's China tariff now and in 2026 the Biden tariffs go up from 7.5% to 25% on non-EV lithium. Hopefully, before then the trade wars will settle, but the future is looking expensive for home energy storage.

can i connect it to my existing tesla converter and battery ? i have an existing tesla system.
I have Tesla Solar System with 2 PW.
If you touch Tesla system with a non certified Tesla installer, it might void your warranty. If you used a certified installer + getting a permit, it will be expensive $$. Plus it's not UL certified so it might be issue with home insurance if something were to happened.
For me, I'm consider getting this + inverter to charge my EV from my second solar system Enphase micro inverter.
seems like a good thread to ask if there are small inverters out there that also act like a UPS, charge the battery and still pass on 110AC but switch to battery when power loss
basically just add battery to inverter?
is it called something else or am I searching wrong
Possibly, if you want the best $/Wh the 12V 280Ah category is the best. However expect all of these to be hit hard with the tariffs
Wasn't there already a 20% tariff put in place in February or something? Not to suggest prices won't increase, but do we need to panic about significant price increases here?

Hobotech did a server rack battery review on youtube recently and mentioned they're hoping to have UL by end of April.
Each device made needs UL submission, not just cells...there is no word on UL submissions for anything other than the server rack battery @ 100A. I asked about the new (yet to be released) 50A server rack, and it was a 'maybe'. Early May is what we've been told for the 100A, so a month away, and this 100A server rack will be EW first battery with UL listing.

Also don't use AC breakers for DC power.

But the price is good if you are not going to use it on a 10kw load.
