This connects to Android phones only via bluetooth. No usb-c plug. No pass-through charging.

If you can get Citra up and running, you can turn your smartphone into the bottom half of a 3DS or NDS screen.

Not sure how this compares, but the Gamesir G8 is REALLY GOOD. They make a type c and a bluetooth variant. I have the type c since I use it with my small tablet and iphone 15 pro max, but in hindsight bluetooth would have been fine im sure.

This is 1/3 the price of that though, so might be worth a shot.

I dont get it, the top half is on the PC? and you are using your phone as a 2nd monitor with touchscreen?
OR are you connecting it to a TV and the emu is being run from your phone?

Does it support Switch? Gamesir has a similar controller that also supports connecting to Switch, so that may be a deciding factor for some buyers.

Depends on the device and the phone really. I've played games on my phone using a PS4 pad and don't notice the slightest bit of lag. And I've seen other bluetooth devices with tons of lag that would make any game unplayable.

Did you have to extend your G8 (mod) to fit the tablet?

I just picked up a y700 legion tablet and they allegedly make a version of the G8 Plus but with USB C. (Legion G7 gaming controller). But the price is quite steep ($99)

I've been wanting to try some like this but they usually seem quite pricey. I'm willing to gamble on this.

No it's not actually..I owned a ton of these from the razor kishi to gamesir g8 plus some of them are Bluetooth and some are type c. I don't notice lag ..also they connect via Bluetooth to consoles like Xbox or a PC and Bluetooth lag isn't a thing .. if it's good enough for actual PC and console I think Bluetooth is fine for mobile gaming

Most bluetooth controllers have a latency of about 10ms or approximately one 100Hz frame. If you are actually noticing it, there is likely something else wrong with the setup you were using (or crappy hardware). It isn't inherently a bluetooth problem.

What are you even talking about? All current gen consoles controllers use bluetooth connections.

Does anyone have this and comment on how far it extends? Wondering if 8.4inch iplay60 turbo or 12inch s8+ will fit.

Anybody has recommendations on how to charge the phone while playing with this? I'm aware it's not great for the phone battery life but I'm planning to use this on long-haul flights and I don't want to reach the destination with 0 battery. I was thinking of a flat angled USB-C adapter connector but having trouble finding something that would be comfortable to use (i.e. cable not coming toward the screen) and wouldn't damage the phone port due to the controller spring pushing an asymmetrical plug.

If you're lucky, you might find a similar remote at Ross for $6.99.
