I'd probably pay the extra $110 for the hydraulic brakes and upgraded battery. As with all Chinese no-name bikes, don't expect any support from the manufacturer. Any repairs will be your responsibility.

Weight is 74lbs.

Note that this code won't stack with the codes on the website.

Here's a review of the cheaper model [bikeride.com].

This page says it's UL approved [electrocruisers.com] but I have my doubts, especially since Senada doesn't mention it on their site.

One approval on Reddit [reddit.com]

Here's a guy riding it on an easy trail and then on the road (gets it up to an indicated 30mph). Unclear if this is sponsored.

Fat tire ebikes may not be ideal [youtube.com] unless you plan to ride on sand (TL; DW: higher mass and rolling resistance makes them inefficient, but they can be fun)
Don't have much to add but bought the senada harald plus for our 14 year old. He has ridden it everywhere and enjoys it, all flat roads here in Florida. Can ride to the beach over a bridge and back without using one bar of the battery.
Seems good to me, it showed up with a scratched rear fender, they responded quick and sent a new one. Shipped from China so took awhile.
Some screws came loose in the front brake assembly, a simple Amazon order fixed that as I didn't want to deal with screws coming from China. I kinda figure with these bikes if you get 2 years out of it then that's pretty good.
Long story short, the 14 year old likes it and has no complaints.
What about a bike bike if the goal is weight loss?

only thing you will need to do is maintain the spokes alignment, air pressure, and oil up the chain (use bike chain oil, not penatrating oil like wd40) motor, is a rear hub motor, compared to other, easy to replace. probably not cost effective if you buy this for 600-700. batteries, if it doesn't burn your house down, you wont ever notice. people complain about batteries, but thats les than 1% of 1%. it will last 5-10 years. just dont charge it to 100 or let it drop below 10. when you store your bike for a long time, keep it around 30% is standard if controller motor etc fail. just buy a swap kit from amazon for 250-500 bucks. you get wheel motor controler display and wiring. again not cost effective but better than buying another bike. in short. there is zero down side for a 1000 watt bike for 700 bucks. you can probably flip it for 50-150 profit. u can get a motor cycle, but you need to registter it, pay dmv fee and blah blah blah. not legal advice, but hypothetically you can stick a 750 watt sticker on your motor and class 2/3 sticker on your bike and make it legal, and not have to deal with insurance and dmv. i rambled.
thanks. the idea behind these things is good, however the practical ways in how we work with repair seems to not well thought out.
so i am walking away and looking for a small honda bike with a real transmission, perhaps air cooled. the industry seems to be hap hazard and fly by nite.
i looked at a Trek bike and asked about the battery. well the shop has to take the bike apart to replace the battery.
groan, is Trek kidding me?..........good by.
maybe in 50 years things will get fixed, or not. in the mean time, people powered Road bikes and mountain bikes are the ticket. power, will be what Honda or Kawasaki creates for me.

Finally decided to bite on an ebike to try to lose some weight since my doctor thinks I should be less people.

Should I grab any of the accessories or get them all after market? I'll be riding this 5 miles to/from work in the suburbs (Some gravel road). I saw an upgraded seat mentioned. Is this one good or should I grab a different one off Amazon?

I'm guessing the adjustable handlebars are proprietary so I should grab them now if I think I might want them.

The 3 year warranty and $20 shipping guarantee are both junk right?
If you want to lose weight, getting on a motorized bike isn't going to do anything for you. You should get a bicycle and pedal. This is the equivalent to sitting in your living room hoping to lose weight.

The AI chatbot confirmed that all batteries are UL certified and tested. Should be good on that.

FYI, this bike uses a cadence sensor, not torque sensor.

I have the 2,000W (2X1000) dual motor version of this bike. Nearly 3 years and 700 miles with no issues. You're saving as the battery and motor tech catch up and the fact that this isn't a custom chassis built to hide the wires. Doesn't bother me at all. BTW, dual motor will hit 35mph with a 235lb. rider.

So why is this Yamaha deal so good for the price?
Quote from mcliquidators :
I believe one of the reasons is its from a major motorcycle manufacturer that you don't have to worry about if something happens. Then you have the quality components, mid drive motor and construction. Add to the that you got 2 batteries plus extended battery warranty. All that for 1900 which is about the same price as some of these generic Chinese companies charge for less of a bike

I am regretful too, as i couldnt buy in due to life changes happening at that time and then it went OOS.

However, mentioning this deal here isnt an apples to apples comparison since the Yamaha bike is essentially e-assist and does not allow for solely Electric mode.

to each his own. this is for city folk, who dont want to pay 20-50 bucks for parking, but also dont want to sweat riding into work/school and deal with city traffic. or casual rides up and down beach/hills.

i dont want insurance/permit/dmv fees in CA while riding a motorcycle. good luck pedaling a road bike like a peon! (i say this in friendly tone)

i love the specs on this.. My bike will cruise at like 20 mph and hit 23 with me pedaling..

I did want it to be faster.. and have more cushion..
People talking about cruising on their ebikes at 30 mph are absolutely nuts. You can go down at any moment. Ask anyone who has ever wrecked a motorcycle while wearing street clothes, even as slow as 25 mph.

I bike commuted using a regular bike over 15000 miles for 10 years. 80% of the scars I have are from bike falls; one of them is actually a scar over a previous scar, so a freebie. Going down at 20 mph can already be pretty painful, 30 mph is more than twice the energy. I wouldn't cruise around any faster then 20 mph, not without actual motorcycle gear. If 20 mph is too slow to get you to where you need to go, then plan more time into your day.

That depends. If you turn off pedal assist (I assume most ebikes have a way to turn it off), you can just pedal with your own weight and strength... and if things way too tiring, you can turn it on level 1 or 2 to keep the momentum going and turn it off once you recover. There's also carrying the thing around if needed as that probably get your more exercise being it's 70+ lbs.

An eBike could be a good (however slightly pricey) starting point to just go outside and bike for exercise until they decide later to other exercises or get a bike and start cycling for real.

Worst comes to worst, you have a decent commuter bike to use in the city or around town.

I'm personally debating if I want to get this ebike before the tariffs ruin everything.
