I'd probably pay the extra $110 for the hydraulic brakes and upgraded battery. As with all Chinese no-name bikes, don't expect any support from the manufacturer. Any repairs will be your responsibility.

Weight is 74lbs.

Note that this code won't stack with the codes on the website.

Here's a review of the cheaper model [bikeride.com].

This page says it's UL approved [electrocruisers.com] but I have my doubts, especially since Senada doesn't mention it on their site.

One approval on Reddit [reddit.com]

Here's a guy riding it on an easy trail and then on the road (gets it up to an indicated 30mph). Unclear if this is sponsored.

Fat tire ebikes may not be ideal [youtube.com] unless you plan to ride on sand (TL; DW: higher mass and rolling resistance makes them inefficient, but they can be fun)

Don't have much to add but bought the senada harald plus for our 14 year old. He has ridden it everywhere and enjoys it, all flat roads here in Florida. Can ride to the beach over a bridge and back without using one bar of the battery.
Seems good to me, it showed up with a scratched rear fender, they responded quick and sent a new one. Shipped from China so took awhile.
Some screws came loose in the front brake assembly, a simple Amazon order fixed that as I didn't want to deal with screws coming from China. I kinda figure with these bikes if you get 2 years out of it then that's pretty good.
Long story short, the 14 year old likes it and has no complaints.

What about a bike bike if the goal is weight loss?

Skip the Archon, and go to plus for the hydraulic brakes. 1000 watt motor, should get you to 25 mph unless you are a fatty. gonna need that stopping power.
no rear suspension, upgrade seat is a must, cushion or suspension.
hardly doubt you will get 78 miles more like 30 miles if you dont PA.

no need to change tires battery until it wears out. i doubt battery is certified by anyone reputable.

plus is only available in red white and blue black as of 8 pm pst 4/2
solid entry ebike at 700 bucks. can't complain or compare to name brands. they cut corners on quality of life parts, and make it ridable.

You definitely want hydraulic brakes. Decent bike. Been researching them for quite a while. May grab this just because it's a great deal.

I thought it was cheaper on amazon at $579, but then I noticed $200 shipping

Finally decided to bite on an ebike to try to lose some weight since my doctor thinks I should be less people.

Should I grab any of the accessories or get them all after market? I'll be riding this 5 miles to/from work in the suburbs (Some gravel road). I saw an upgraded seat mentioned. Is this one good or should I grab a different one off Amazon?

I'm guessing the adjustable handlebars are proprietary so I should grab them now if I think I might want them.

The 3 year warranty and $20 shipping guarantee are both junk right?

Just out of curiosity, is this a Chinese no-name company? Asking because I just purchased a bike from them the other day that won't ship for a few weeks. Their website said they had a warehouse in California.

Pretty much, yeah. Youtube is full of reviews of bikes like this. I have a noname bike myself (not from this brand, but from another brand that is surprisingly still around after a name change). By "noname" I mean it's not an established bike company that you'd find in a legitimate bike shop. However, I think for the price it's a pretty decent deal, especially if you're comfortable assembling and maintaining an ebike yourself.

I'd get them aftermarket. They don't look like anything special, prices seem high and site doesn't indicate that they'll be preinstalled. You can find tons of accessories like these, or better, on Amazon or Aliexpress (I've purchased several bike accessories from the latter, usually with good results) for much less.

Right at the top of the page, it says:
