This page says it's UL approved [electrocruisers.com] but I have my doubts, especially since Senada doesn't mention it on their site.

Here's a guy riding it on an easy trail and then on the road (gets it up to an indicated 30mph). Unclear if this is sponsored.
Fat tire ebikes may not be ideal [youtube.com] unless you plan to ride on sand (TL; DW: higher mass and rolling resistance makes them inefficient, but they can be fun)
Seems good to me, it showed up with a scratched rear fender, they responded quick and sent a new one. Shipped from China so took awhile.
Some screws came loose in the front brake assembly, a simple Amazon order fixed that as I didn't want to deal with screws coming from China. I kinda figure with these bikes if you get 2 years out of it then that's pretty good.
Long story short, the 14 year old likes it and has no complaints.

if the motor breaks, what do we do? are there generic parts to repair any of these kinds of bikes?
how about the battery, are there generic batteries we can buy, or does the bike become e-waste?
controllers, electronics et al, same question becomes no what when it fails?
so far i get no Real Answers; for me a small honda motorcycle makes more sense for repairs and parts. happens in life for everyone.
motor, is a rear hub motor, compared to other, easy to replace. probably not cost effective if you buy this for 600-700.
batteries, if it doesn't burn your house down, you wont ever notice. people complain about batteries, but thats les than 1% of 1%. it will last 5-10 years. just dont charge it to 100 or let it drop below 10. when you store your bike for a long time, keep it around 30% is standard
if controller motor etc fail. just buy a swap kit from amazon for 250-500 bucks. you get wheel motor controler display and wiring. again not cost effective but better than buying another bike.
in short. there is zero down side for a 1000 watt bike for 700 bucks. you can probably flip it for 50-150 profit.
u can get a motor cycle, but you need to registter it, pay dmv fee and blah blah blah. not legal advice, but hypothetically you can stick a 750 watt sticker on your motor and class 2/3 sticker on your bike and make it legal, and not have to deal with insurance and dmv.

It is pretty fast (~30mph), comfortable and still has pretty good range. I've taken it on roads, beach, trails without issues.
I only charge it in the garage outside, and never leave it plugged in once it's charged because I am scared of battery fires. No swelling is apparent at this point. I've made almost no repairs to it other than replacing the pedals after I crashed it a couple times and bent one.
Crashing an e-bike hurts, by the way.
I bought it for $1,150 so I'd consider this a ridiculously good deal.

Granted the SMLRO link is for their 2000w variant I'm sure they have 1000w too. I've been happy with the one linked above for over a year and SMLRO has actually shipped replacement parts to me, for free, when my kid crashed it.

Should I grab any of the accessories or get them all after market? I'll be riding this 5 miles to/from work in the suburbs (Some gravel road). I saw an upgraded seat mentioned. Is this one good or should I grab a different one off Amazon?
I'm guessing the adjustable handlebars are proprietary so I should grab them now if I think I might want them.
The 3 year warranty and $20 shipping guarantee are both junk right?
