It's good for perennial herbs like mint and chives which would otherwise take over the whole garden.

Got this deal last year to hold a hose. Works great. Holds 75' of one of those 'nylon' flexible hoses no problem (with plenty of capacity to spare) and looks nice. Drilled a few holes in the bottom for drainage. The only issue I have with them is that they fall over when pulling hose out because they're so light but I don't really care. Could throw a brick in the bottom if you wanted I suppose.

Fill them half or 3/4 with all natural mulch (like pine bark) and then put your regular bagged soil or something, you're good to go.

They not only killed free delivery but when I went to check out they doubled down and changed the shipping cost from$2.99 to $35 for delivery. Not available for shipping anymore all within less than 5 minutes.

Exactly, that's why I canceled my order 5 hours ago. $35 to ship. No thanks that almost the price of the planters.

They are now $15 each and shipping is $35. So deal is dead.
You have to add 2 or more to your cart to get them for half price.

I had 4 in my cart from last year when I missed it. I was able to check out fine with $2.99 shipping.

Not sure what issue people are having. Adding 2 shows the correct price. I can do free pick up or $3 for delivery.

I know it's plastic but still seems like a good deal if you have enough dirt to fill them with.
I always add plastic water bottles or small flower containers to the pot before adding the soil. It helps and saves tons of money on large pots. Just smash them up and throw them in. I have also seen some people use Poole noodles or milk jugs for really large pots.

FYI The link stopped working overnight, it was redirecting to some "learn more about" type product page with no way to order (see attached screen capture), but this morning I see that it's working again, although as many have already pointed out, shipping is no longer free.

What are people using these for? Any project ideas? Must you fill the entire thing with soil?
I use them to breed mosquitoes. Perfect for collecting stagnant rainwater.

When I tried to purchase this is the msg I received- "Your delivery cost has changed to $35.00"! Def not a good deal with that delivery fee.
