Meh. You could buy a pecron or other semi known brand for the same price or an Ecoflow with a bit more. Better specs and a ton more reviews. 100w off brand panels are cheap. My assumption is that a Chinese company paid to rebrand their item kenwood and they're not actually making them. This isn't a terrible deal or anything just a gamble for a mediocre deal. In general now might be a good time to look at getting something given the pending tariffs (no politics, just talking about likelihood of price increases due to china tariffs)

This product isn't old kenwood made this for crutchfield and realized sales were not going to be good so they sold the rest of the inventory to meh. (troy: https://meh.com/forum/topics/kenw...r-stations)

I've had two of these cheaper ones from amazon sale and woot Already fail on me My two refurbished ones from eBay were sort of alright, the first one I had to return In the replacement was fine. The second one, it has interim and errors where I have to do the six button reset. These type of products being new, you're best off getting a new one from a known brand.

As stated earlier.. Kenwood makes higher end amatuer radios (and business radios). Is this for sure Made in China? All of my Kenwood 2way radios are made in Japan.

It beats this deal on a per wh basis for both models.
I would take Ecoflow over Kenwood any day.

Btw in that thread there was even a flash sale for $250 that was available for a very short time, but I am not going to take that into account.

Cheaper per kwh.
That one does not do AC into the unit. It has a power brick. So there is no UPS mode.

If Kenwood meant this to compete with the Jackery 500 and the quality is similar, it would be a good deal.

Warranty probably suspect--I would use a CC providing extended warranty.

Is the requirement of the front page so low? This 600W 512Wh is 200 USD. this price is ok but not amazing for unknow brand, many power station brands have this price. The pecron e500 576Wh is only 208 USD after the discount. The River series of ecoflow is also good, but I have never heard of this brand.
