It probably won't ever come out of early access. After the big sale spike their work slowed to a crawl. The recent pace has been about 1 biome every 1.5 years, without actually addressing anything on the original roadmap. Great game, just sucks to see it get stuck.

I think it'll get to 1.0 eventually because the devs seem dedicated, it's just going at a snail's pace, and even after hiring more devs it sounds like their dev team is still extremely small (the original code was mainly just 1 guy).

The game already has plenty of great content though so it's easily worth $10.

They already announced the release. They are putting out the deep north which will be 1.0.
I'm almost 500hrs into it since it came out. I put it down for months at a time and then pick it back up. Game is excellent.
