Pro tip. If you don't owe money on your taxes, meaning you get a refund every year, you can file after April 15th. No penalties for doing so and you don't even need to file an extension. IRS is happy to take your interest free loan. Software could become much cheaper after April 15th. Only thing to watch out for is the IRS shuts down e-file usually after the extension deadline in October. After that time you'd need to mail your returns in.

darn. this expires tonight at 12am ET 9pm PT. I was going to wait until I do my taxes between now and Monday but not sure I can wait. I'll have to think about this

Nah, if it's not going under $23 this year, I'm going to give FreeTaxUSA a try. I probably could've tried it years ago, but this is the push I needed. If it goes well, they've lost a user permanently.

You are completely incorrect. If you are owed a refund, just file up to 3 years after the deadline, and you'll get it -- plus interest from the government, amazingly.

This is true, however, are you just guessing, or have you concretely seen prices dip back to all-time lows after tax day? I have NOT.

Is anyone else having a problem with, "Cannot Connect to Server" ?
Hence, can't update or eFile :-(
Talked to their tech support for over an hour, but they're useless on this issue -- except to tell you to make sure Windows is up to date (which allegedly fixes this issue for most).
