I like them so far. They have been perfect for jobs around the house. They are loud but works. I use the impact to work on my car. it's been able to take off bolts so far. The oscillator is perfect for cuts that don't need to be accurate.

Good deal for those of us needing basic tools, but strapped for cash.

Otherwise, for $100 more get M12 12V Lithium-Ion Cordless Combo Kit (5-Tool) with Two 1.5 Ah Batteries, Charger and Tool Bag for $199

I'd personally rather have the Skil set than that specific M12 stuff, and I have most of both sets. The Skil set is all brushless, includes a multi-tool, and the speaker is surprisingly nice and compact. The speaker definitely isn't a loud jobsite stereo, but it's perfect for a small indoor work area. The M12 stuff is all brushed. The drill and impact are perfectly usable but burn batteries rather quickly. The brushed hackzall is about useless. The ratchet has almost no power either. So both those tools add essentially nothing to the value of the combo imho. The light I don't have. It may be amazing.

The M12 stuff is slightly more compact if you're really into tight spaces, but that actually comes with a downside. The compact M12 batteries can be so frustrating for day to day use if you've developed a habit of setting a tool down on its grip. The Skil does that just as many of us have come to expect, but the M12 just falls over with a CP battery if you don't set it down perfectly. That means falling off ladders, workbenches, etc. more than you'd like. You can fix that easily by using XC batteries.
