Helpful comment! I've been waiting for a 990D deal, but no luck for over a year. Is 930D comparable in quality? I'm not an audiophile, but want a good surround sound system that integrates with my Samsung QLED TV. Appreciate any guidance!

Yes. 930D is 9.1.4 ch, which is similar setup like 990D 11.1.4 ch.

Ok, long shot but my Samsung soundbar acts weird with my Sony tv. I have Roku in hdmi 4 and soundbar via hdmi eArc and the soundbar only powers on/outputs audio with Roku in hdmi 4. I have to open Roku input. Then go back to tv home for audio to work in order to watch other apps on tv (YouTube , Netflix etc) does anyone have this issue? Sony cannot figure it out either.

I have been burnt twice by Samsung soundbars and losing connectivity to the subwoofer. Firmware updates and hard resets haven't solved the issue. Have they ever resolved this problem?
